For maximum tempo control during performance, you can MIDI map ( see Chapter 29) separate controllers to the Tempo field on both sides of the decimal point. You can even automate the tempo ( see 21.5.8) to create smooth or sudden tempo changes along the song timeline.
The Control Bar’s Tempo field allows you to change the playback tempo of your Live Set at any time, in real time. Mixing and matching audio from different origins is therefore extremely easy. This happens without affecting the pitch, which can be changed independently. Live is capable of time-warping samples while streaming them from disk so as to synchronize them to the current Live Set’s tempo. If you already have an existing Apple ID from your previous iPhone, you’ll be asked to enter a verification code on that phone.Unlike music stored on tape or in a traditional digital audio workstation, the music in Live remains “elastic“ at all times. Sign in your create your Apple ID which is usually an email address and a password.
If you are transferring content from an Android, select ‘Move from Android’ and follow the steps above.
If you had an iPhone beforehand and backed up your data to iCloud or iTunes, select either ‘Restore from iCloud Backup’ or ‘Restore from iTunes Backup’. Then enter a 6-digit code as your two-factor authentication. For Touch ID, choose the finger you’d like to use to unlock your screen. For Face ID, raise your screen directly in front of your face so that your phone can capture your features. Now you will set up your Face ID or your Touch ID, depending on which iOS system you’re on. Now connect your device to WiFi to continue, then insert your SIM card. This is important because it will determine your time, date and language.
The first step will then be to select your country or region. You’ve just turned on your iPhone for the first time.
